Hearing Screening

My little guy went to the high school to get a vision and hearing screening. They had some kid friendly earphones but he wanted nothing to do with the screening. Yes, he tracks things, but he got bored with the dot test right away. Ever wonder if your child is maybe just too smart to be bothered with these stupid tests. Maybe, I just don't know because my son won't tell me anything.

He laughs and giggles, jumps on the bed, burrows under the covers and does so many things that are just what a regular almost three year old would do. He just doesn't talk.

A and B are the first two letters he has learned so far, but like everything he picks and choses when he will say the word, and gets bored very quickly with speaking.

Tomorrow he'll get a different type of hearing screening. For now it's a journey. An interesting one, at times I get discouraged but I realize it doesn't really matter what the experts say, Nate is who God made him. For what purpose, I don't know but for now the lives of 6 people love to watch him, a simple smile light up the room.
